Kmart Runs 9/27

Ok, here goes:

My first run on Sunday. We hadn't had iternet since we got back on Friday night, so I had to wing it. As a result, I didn't do so well, but it works. $30 worth for free.

My second run. Still no internet.




This is better. I sat in a BW3 parking lot at 7 AM Monday morning to plan this out. Without all my coupons and the sales, this would have cost around $70.




The cashier argued with me about some coupons because they had the Kmart logo on them and she said she couldn't use them because they were Kmart coupons and they would double when they weren't supposed to. She was wrong, of course, because they said "manufacturer's coupon" on them, and just came from a Kmart book...real Kmart coupons don't double automatically. Regardless, she wouldn't budge, and as a result, I got screwed out of $4 in coupons. I could have just put it all back, but I didn't really want to be that person. It was about $75 worth of stuff, and after accounting for the $17 I got back, it was only about $5.




The Special K deal is a pretty good one if you can print out the coupons. My other computer is still in the Mac shop, so I only had access to one set (3 cereal Qs and 1 coupon for the bars), and still did pretty good I think since it would have cost $23 otherwise.



Tax put me over the $17 I got back, but not too shabby for $60 worth of stuff. Those bags and containers will be great at Christmas for baked gifts. And many of the boxes of candles had coupons in them for more candles. :) I'm an addict!



Ah, now this is what I have been aiming to do. Even after tax, I made $2 on this order. There is $80 worth of stuff in this order too. Those Reed diffusers look an awful lot like something I could hand out as door prizes at a baby shower...hmm!

Walgreens 9/27 - 10/3

If you aren't shopping at Walgreen's this week, you should be. What a fantastic week. I'm sad that my internet has been out so that I haven't been able to update you on the great deals. But here they are now. I have actually been taking pictures, which is odd for the Walgreen's stuff, and will try to post them this week when I have a chance (between Kmart and Walgreens, I'll not have much time for it). Let's just hope that the guy out there fixing my internet right now, does so very well.

Kmart Super Doubles Again!

Can you believe that October is almost here? I sure can't! But what better way to bring it in than with a Kmart doubles event. We were informed that there weren't going to be any more until next year, but they surprised us with this event. All sorts of speculation has been going on about it, but in the end, it appears it is just like all the others. Having been in Illinois all last week, and without a computer, I have been completely unable to prep for the event. When we got home Friday night, our internet was out and has been down all weekend until about 20 minutes ago. So, who knows how long it will be up, but let's hope for the best. In light of this, I have been unable to put together all of the deals, but I will attempt to pull some together now that I have access to everything. First, I have to go out and do a few runs, before everything is out of stock.

I haven't been very good about sharing the sites I've joined. Sites that give out free samples or coupons, etc. So I am going to try and start giving out that information in posts as I think of it. Today, I wanted to tell you all about a site called VocalPoint. It is a survey type of site where you can join and give opinions on products, etc. I joined this site one or two months ago, and so far have received a few samples, coupons for free Rice Krispies and Kashi Cereal, along with some great coupons for the cereals, and the new Bounce Dryer Bar. Wow! There are some Pepsi, Dole, and Sobe coupons out for print here. They are only for $0.25 each, but that is more than the usual amount we have for Pepsi products. Go to the link above and select 1 or all of the coupons using the check boxes and then hit Print. It will take you to a Brick's site to print the coupons. Note that even though it only shows one items on the Brick's link, if you have selected all or 2 of the coupons, it will print all of them at once. Can Hunger Drive

My church is having a drive for canned food this weekend for the Dayton Food Bank. I thought I would take some pictures of what I was able to find, and the prices of the items, in the event that anyone wants to buy some things for your local food banks. Food banks all over the country are in desperate need, and anything you can do to help or give is greatly appreciated.


I tried to mark all the different items on the cans below. Basically, everything was under $1 except for the Asparagus. This is the cheapest place I have found for canned goods.




I had some free money from Meijer due to the Kool-Aid deal from last week, so I decided to get a few items there. They also are running their 10 for $10, get the 11th free deal this week. So I got some of the canned fruit and some canned chicken on that deal. The Chef Boyardee stuff was also part of this deal, but when I rang it up, it scanned at $0.92 a can, instead of $1. However, at the end of the order, it took $0.92 off for my 11th item, so it is actually part of the deal. You can take advantage of that nice surprise too. And then, as the picture says, I found some Progresso soup on clearance for $0.54. It doesn't expire for a year, so I assume they just won't be carrying the flavors that are clearanced any longer. I bought them out of what they had left. And I might have to run to another store and see if there are any there as well. I wasn't planning on it, but there are also printable coupons for $1 off of 3 Progresso soups. So that would make two of them almost free.
